Hiring dependable Driver Helpers / Shop Cleaners for a short-term contractor assignment at our Van Buren Hauling & Transfer location. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy physical, hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties
Assist Route Drivers with residential and commercial waste collection.
Load and empty trash and recycling containers.
Help guide drivers during backing maneuvers.
Operate lifting equipment when needed.
Clean and maintain the shop/work area.
Report safety concerns and service issues promptly.
Follow all WM safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old.
No experience required (less than 1 year preferred).
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Able to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
Interest in obtaining a CDL is a plus.
Work Environment
Outdoor work with exposure to weather, noise, dust, and odors.
Frequent lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and walking.
Ride in GPS/video-monitored vehicles while assisting drivers.
