Will start laying beautiful brown eggs in October/November. Very friendly personality. Known to make great pets.
All the hard work of careful brooding is finished. They are feathered out. All you need to do is to feed and water them and enjoy watching them play and grow until they start laying eggs brown eggs for you.
Red Star (ISA Browns) is McMurray Hatchery’s best Brown Egg Layer. Easy to raise, lay lots of large brown eggs and a good feed-conversion ratio.
They start laying at 18 - 22 weeks and they will keep laying through hot and cold weather.
First and third photo shows what the chicks will look like as adults. Mature hens have reddish brown feathers with flecks of white throughout. Pullets have a lot of splashy white on them while they are maturing. Very pretty as a young flock.
Quinton Oklahoma is central to McAlester, Wilburton, Stigler, Checotah, Warner, Keota, Poteau and Fort Smith areas.
