I bought this motor four years ago with a plan but that plan never got going so, here it is for sale. It was owned by one man, since new, for many years until he couldn't get out of the house. It was on the same Chrysler boat all those years and inside a shed. It has been outside for the last two years and dirt daubers got inside the cowl and did their thing.
When I bought it, it had 120 psi on both cylinders. Controls are weathered and do function though you will want new throttle and shifter cables. The old fuel line was "toast." Good prop included and I've seen them selling for $200 alone. The wiring has been indoors and under cowl and are in great shape. All components appear to be in very good condition with no rot, cracks or rust. I hooked up a battery, four years ago, and it cranked but I did not start it. Just made sure it wasn't locked up. Cowl seal is perfect too. I drained the lower unit oil and it was clean so I added some tranny oil for storage. Distance from top of transom to cavitation plate is 22 inches. I don't know if this is a 20 or 25 inch shaft. I "think" it's a 25. All in all, it will make a great project for someone. Model # 459HF.
If someone from out of state is looking, and interested, I have a military 40hp outboard storage crate that I can ship this in if you're interested and will take $75 for it. Shipping is on you as is arrangement for lift gate pickup service but I would make the 100 mile round trip to Fedex for $50.

In the pic of the controls, the black area is not a hole but is just where paint has come off. The last pic is the ends of the throttle and shift cables.

No scammers please and I do not need help selling.
